WILLIAM PENN
A TRULY GIFTED MAN
"Hey Bill, is that a 6-foot cheesesteak, or are you just glad to see me?"
Viewing the iconic City Hall statue of William Penn from the Parkway, we gain an appreciation for what a gifted man he truly was, and why he is Philadelphia's founding father.
As many people know, "Pennsylvania" means "Penn's Wood." And it was named after William Penn's father. (Evidently, the acorn didn't fall far from the tree.)
