Bucks County residents may remember this location as Slack's Hoagie Shack. Before taking over the place themselves, Italo ("Pete") and Fran Gramigna were already the faces behind the counter, building relationships with customers one sandwich at a time.
When the opportunity came to make the business their own, they did not simply change the sign outside. They built upon the reputation they had already earned.
Pete, Fran, and their crew proudly claim more than 200 years of combined steak-slinging experience. And after spending a few minutes here, you will believe it.
The sandwiches are expertly prepared, the kitchen hums with confidence, and everything feels like it is in the hands of people who have invested a lifetime perfecting their craft.
However, experience alone isn't what makes Philly Pete's special. What truly sets this place apart is something that is much harder to find.

And as it turns out, the food delivers in a very big way.
The classic cheesesteak is outstanding - everything you want it to be, with expertly grilled quality meat, perfectly melted cheese, and a roll, freshly baked on site, that brings it all together beautifully.
But adventurous eaters have plenty of other unique tempting options as well. Pete's garlic bread cheesesteak adds another layer of rich, buttery flavor, while the bacon ranch cheesesteak proves that sometimes more really is more.
