Hey Flyers, having problems putting that ol' puck in the net?

Don't worry - we got a solution for ya.

According to the NHL rulebook, there are at least a dozen ways a goal may be scored without the puck entering the net.

 

These include:

​

- Player tripped on open net breakaway

​

- Goalie throws stick during penalty shot

 

- Net dislodged on purpose to stop a goal

 

- Forfeit (non-forfeiting team wins 1-0)
