LOOK OUT, BABE
SCHWARBS IS COMING
Babe Ruth hit 235 home runs in his first 5 years with the Yankees. That's the MLB record for most home runs by a player in his first 5 years with a team.
It is a 104-year-old record. And Kyle Schwarber is fixin' to break it.
This is Schwarbs' 5th year with the Phillies. He has 230 home runs. If he can manage to hit 5 more, he will be tied with the Babe.
If he can hit 6, the record is his.
There are 17 games left, and Schwarbs is right on pace. But somehow we know this is not about math. We know this is something the gods of baseball are going to decide.
Come on, fellas. Help us out.
